Lauren Dukoff, born and raised in California, grew up in a creative household. Her father, a
commercial director and photographer, encouraged Lauren to be involved in the arts at an
early age and Dukoff got her start by documenting the musical career of long-time friend
Devendra Banhart. She has since worked with celebrated artists such as Beyoncé, Lady
Gaga, Mandy Moore, Millie Bobby Brown, Jennifer Lopez, Tom Hanks, Katy Perry,
Oprah, and perhaps most prolifically, Adele, a friend and collaborator whom she has
documented for many years.
Dividing her time between Los Angeles and New York, Lauren has shot for a wide variety of
editorial, commercial, and entertainment clients. Her characteristically authentic portraiture
has appeared in the pages of Vanity Fair, L’Officiel, Vogue Japan, L’Uomo Vogue, The New
York Times Magazine and W, with commercial campaigns for brands such as Quay, Vans,
Puma, Warby Parker, Cole Haan, Reebok, and Converse.
Her approach is rooted in collaborating with creative people, taking inspiration found in her
subjects and allowing their personalities to guide artistic choices.
Today we present to you an editorial submission shot on location at the Vanity Fair &
Amazon hosted “Pre-Globes Bash,” ahead of this year’s Golden Globes.
Lauren captures a diverse, joyful and celebratory performances from several of today's
