With his love for motorsports, Alex Bernstein teamed up with Recom Farmhouse on a project built on absurdity. Placing legendary race cars on the streets of NY in a world where race cars don’t retire after their racing career but instead go on to live a utilitarian life as daily drivers. The odds of seeing any of these cars outside a race track or a museum are basically zero, so Alex shot the backplates entirely handheld to blend street photography with automotive art. He really wanted to give the feeling of walking around the city and being blown away at the sight of these cars. Over months of refining, Alex and Recom dialed in the mood and painstaking details that brought this project to life.
