Michael Muller is a Director, Photographer, Humanitarian, Activist, and a UN Global Advocate. Michael is WildAid Ambassador and has worked with the leading direct-action ocean conservation organization, Sea Shepherds for 13 years. He is an Ambassador for Parley for Oceans and is currently working with Stanford University on VR project helping people with PTSD and Anxiety through underwater VR.
Michael Muller is an established celebrity & advertising photographer shooting for clients such as Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Aston Martin, Rolling Stone, Range Rover and Vanity Fair. He transitioned into directing TV commercials for clients such as Cirque Du Soleil, HBO, Starz & Converse. One of his biggest passions and life’s work, is photographing marine life. In 2016, Taschen published Michael's first book entitled Sharks, capturing sharks on film using the most powerful underwater strobe in the world, one that Muller himself holds the patents on. This imagery evokes awe, emphasizing the necessity for protecting the oceans, with GQ Magazine raving Muller succeeds in portraying sharks "in all their sleek, gnashy, surreally beautiful glory." Into the Now is Michael's first film shot in VR which debuted at Tribeca Film Festival in 2018 and was selected for exhibition in Cannes the same year.
