Mary CUPPONE
Passionate about advertising, creative design and innovation, I spent my last 10 years working in top Digital Adv Agencies moving from Barcelona to Madrid, Milan - and most recently - San Francisco. During this time I have been conceptualizing and designing for renowned global brands, working across various sectors such as travel, automotive, fashion, finance and tech consumer goods.
Addicted to unexpected experiences, discovery of the world and brilliant ideas, what moves me - literally - is the opportunity to work with exceptionally talented people who are humble and always strive for the best.

questionnaire
1.) What was your very first job?
I was 13 and I wanted a new cellphone. I asked my dad and he told me when you’ll have a job you’ll buy yourself a new cellphone. So I went out and got a job as a waitress in a local restaurant in my town. I worked there for 15 days (enough to make the money I needed) than I resigned and got myself that new cellphone.
2.) Please describe, in your own words, what your job is and what work it entails.
I think about ideas to make people “ah” and I create visuals to make people “oooooh".
3.) How did you discover that the creative world was right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? What was there train of events that brought you to where you are today?
As a kid I was just wild. Nothing could made me stop of jumping and climbing and running and fighting but a piece of paper and a pencil case full of colored sharpies. That was it, creativity and colors have always been part of my life and a passion I developed growing up. While still completing my bachelor in Art Direction I had the chance to join one of the first pure digital creative agencies in Barcelona and since then I continued building my career in this space.
4.) In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how do you find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant?
I try to change city and possibly country and/or continent every few years. That’s what enriched me so much so far personally and professionally: experiencing different cultures, extremely diverse point of views and meeting amazing people along the way has been a perfect recipe.
5.) If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, more for the creative work and innovation it required, rather than its recognition or industry “success,” what would it be?
I had the chance to collaborate with Google (Street View) to showcase the interiors of a Museum in Milan. A first-of-its-kind project combining technology, art and history to make a piece of my City accessible for millions of people around the world.
6.) Which creative disciplines do you commission most, and are most interested in seeing more of? (ie photo, film, social, experiential, vr, etc)
For sure photography and motion are the major ones, but on a selfish level I’d love to have the ability to explore more space design: event, installations and whatnot.
