What was your very first job?

My first job was as a junior designer for a leading womans lifestyle site back in the day.

Please describe, in your own words, what your job is and what work it entails.

Currently I am a group Creative Director and Head of Visual Design at R/GA London. My role is to lead projects and teams to create innovative design solutions that grow clients business. As well as that I ensure the quality of the design output for R/GA London and guide the 20 strong visual design team. I get my hands dirty as often as I can and geek out on type and grids.

How did you discover that the creative world was right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? What was there train of events that brought you to where you are today?

Growing up skating as a kid exposed me to the world of graphic design. I was always drawing, somewhere along the way I worked out that you could actually get paid to design stuff and studied graphic design.

In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how do you find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant?

Human behavior and our interaction with emerging technologies. Nature for the perfect design that runs through everything. Geometry and the patterns that underpin it.

If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, more for the creative work and innovation it required, rather than its recognition or industry “success,” what would it be?

The rebrand and product vision we did for Splice. It’s good
