Millions of dead people, broken families, broken generation. The great war has brought suffering and desolation to all, beyond factions and origins. The agency Fred & Farid wanted to give a face to all the disappeared. By using more than 30,000 archive pictures and different techniques and algorithms such as face recognition, we were able to recreate an average face, the face of the unknown, the face of all the disappeared. The project takes the shape of a website, as well as an installation inside of the musueum. Visitors are able to browse the faces on a giant screen, using a « leap motion » controller.
