The Omnisense experience allows consumers to explore and find their perfect scent match through a multisensory journey in VR.
Throughout this experience, the shopper will wear a Virtual Reality headset and be prompted to pick up one of 7 scent stones, each carrying a scent representing a unique olfactive territory. Once the stone is picked up, the user is propelled into a 3D immersive universe which brings each territory to life through stimulation of all senses at once- visual, touch, sound and scent.
The omnisensory experience gives shoppers a unique opportunity to discover the rich and complex world of fragrances through a sensory rich technological feat that marries art, science, and technology. The tool consists of a virtual reality headset, two added cameras and sensors designed to trigger 3D content in the headset when scent stones are activated. The innovative use of mixed reality allows the user to remain in the store environment and interact with real products on shelf, while still providing an additional layer of magic and other worldliness for the category.
