Violante AVOGADRO

Born in Italy, and gratuated from University of Bocconi, Violante moved to France to get her MBA in 2002. She has more than 15 years of experience in luxury at Gucci, Ralph Lauren Home and Montblanc, and she has been the Director of Public Relations... for the past 4 years. 

Including the last four years as director of public relations and cultural foundation at the parent company in Germany. In January 2018 she joined in Roger Vivier's team as Global Marketing and Communication Director where she is in charge of marketing, digital, public relations and partnerships of the House.

1.)     What was your very first job?

Sales manager during sales campaign in the showroom for Donna Karan.

2.)     Please describe, in your own words, what your job is and what work it entails.

Working in marketing and pr , we take care of making the Maison renown, we constantly supervise our image in order to be true to our dna , while pushing boundaries to recruit new clients.

3.)     How did you discover that the creative world was right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? What was there train of events that brought you to where you are today?

I did an Erasmus exchange while at the university that brought me to Paris 6 months, when I went back I knew I wanted to leave again and live in Paris. I looked for several MBA in order to come back to Paris and I started working here and never left.
At the beginning I wanted to be a photographer but then I was admitted at Bocconi and graduated there. I knew I was not meant to be working in a bank as I really loved to be with people and to travel and I started to work in fashion

4.)     In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how do you find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant?

I meet with new people every day. Every person and every meeting is a source of inspiration.

5.)     If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, more for the creative work and innovation it required, rather than its recognition or industry “success,” what would it be?

The most creative portion of my job are the events. Finding the right place that has never been used and surprise people with something that has never been done, this is what I really like.

6.)      What social media artist/account are you most influenced by?

I would not say I am influcenced but I love Instagram. You canread it like a magazine and it’s a real source of inspiration if you look at the right accounts.

7.)      Which creative disciplines do you commission most, and are most interested in seeing more of? (ie photo, film, social, experiential, vr, etc) 

I wanted to be a photographer, therefore photo exhibition are a real passion
