Brand Manager | PEDRO DEL HIERRO

Isabel is a fashion professional with over a decade of industry experience is currently the Brand Manager for high end fashion brand Pedro del Hierro. Before Pedro del Hierro, Isabel was the Brand Marketing Manager for another Spanish brand, Hoss Intropia. She is also presently pursuing a MBA in Administration and Business in Management that she plans to complete in few months. Isabel initially started out working in events in London, after graduating from Universitat de Barcelona. She went to work for Philip Owens for the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) and to study Public Relations. Upon returning to Spain, she took the role as an Event Project Manager in the travel industry and managed projects for high end clients, administration and corporate (Telefonica, Spanish Ministry of Develoment, Vodafone…). This role combined two of her passions- travelling and working with people from around the globe. In 2015, Isabel decided it was time to go back to school and she completed her Masters Degree in Fashion Communication and Marketing at IED (Instituto Europeo di Design), Madrid. Isabel´s insight into the current trends and the fashion business, she has the ability to give credibility to a brand and develop and implement its image creation, embracing the best of both worlds, creativity and business, with years of experience and passion for design.


1.) What was your very first job?

My very first job was being a model while I was studying. I confirmed at that moment my passion for fashion and I understood that somehow, I will end up working in the industry.

2.) Please describe, in your own words, what your job is and what work it entails. 

I'm responsible for the overall performance and look & feel of the brand. I develop strategies to connect the brand with the consumer through marketing and communications tools, making sure the right positioning, message, and image to craft and refine the storytelling to push the brand forward. I'm decision-maker for planning and executing productions and campaigns and in charge of the selection of all the talents, including art direction, model, photographers, scouting, styling, and supervision of production processes. I'm also the main team player in organizing the fashion shows at the MBFW Madrid. Always trying to deliver that intangible extra that you can't quite define. I must bear in mind how stylish, original, sophisticated, and unique the brand is, and be able to communicate that to the client.

3.) How did you discover that the creative world was right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? What was there train of events that brought you to where you are today? 

As far as I remember, since a was a little girl. I have always been very creative. I used to read fashion magazines, I studied music playing the piano and I liked to read art books since I was little. The period I was working as a model, I realize I wanted to be part of the fashion world.

4.) In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how do you find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant? 

I have a modern way of thinking. Being contemporary and in tune with today's culture mood it's crucial for my job and life vision. I love traveling, and I think it's a helpful way to reach new ideas and inspiration. I'm very sociable an I like to talk to all types of persons, from different backgrounds, field, ages and nationalities, and that, helps me to be updated. Furthermore, on and off magazines (I still love paper), art exhibitions, music and films.

5.) If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, more for the creative work and innovation is required, rather than its recognition or industry “success,” what would it be? 

Being specific, I'm so happy with the launch of the campaign I planned and executed a few years ago with real skaters to demonstrate the performance and comfortability of the suits we have in our collections, it was a great success. I'm also so proud of being part of Pedro del Hierro team, as we are building and positioning the brand with great projects and it's a great moment for it with over expectations in sales performance.

Fashion photographers, models, and inspirational opinion leaders.
