After being graduated for fashion design in La Martinière and advertising in Estienne, Giulia started her advertising career at la chose, as an artistic director. Within the Polluxe team - a creative hub fully dedicated to cosmetics, fashion and premium brands - she cut her teeth on different brands, from Lierac to Piper-Heidsieck. Over the years,  she took a major role in the team, winning exciting new accounts (Lido, Givenchy, Narcisso Rodriguez...) while confronting her "luxury sight" to more mainstream agency clients (Grand Optical, Brasseries Kronenbourg, etc). She became the Polluxe Creative Director at the end of 2018 ; she's actually managing a team of 4 artistic director.

1.) What was your very first job?

2.) Please describe, in your own words, what your job is and what work it entails.

My job consists in solving a business problem by the right image. By "right", I mean all at once : the most inspiring / creative one, the most perfect (in terms of pure technique) and the most efficient / accurate. My daily jobs consists in coordinating the different expertises - both within my team and the external professionals, from photographer to make up artists and retoucher - to approach that kind of three-in-one perfection.

3.) How did you discover that the creative world was right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? What was there train of events that brought you to where you are today?

I was meant to work in fashion industry ; I came into advertising world a bit by accident. I never dreamt about winning prices in Cannes with brilliant and emotional big movies. My references in terms of inspiration were fashion designers and photographs, nor famous copywriters or AD. This is probably what I enjoy the most in my situation : everything is due to chance - and hard work.

4.) In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how do you find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant?

5.) If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, more for the creative work and innovation it required, rather than its recognition or industry “success,” what would it be?

I'm still hesitating between the work I've been providing for Piper-Heidsieck for 3 years and a half - not only as an advertising artistic director but in a more global way, from product design to trade experience. One of the last packaging we've created for the brand, "le rouge", is a huge sale success ; and there are more to come. Also, a campaign we made for Carolina Ritzler, with a very-reduced budget and no time. It's a genuine pride when you do something good despite of the barriers.
