Anne-Gaëlle Le Roux Vaquer has been working 19 years in communication and brand positioning on beauty, fragrances and fashion. In 2015, after sixteen years in advertising agencies such as  Ammirati Puris Lintas, Publicis Conseil, Publicis 133, Select NY, Grey Paris,  for major international groups like L’Oréal Luxe, Coty, P&G Prestige, DBApparel,  she joined La Vallée Village – Value Retail France, taking the position of Communication Director to focus on image, positioning,  content and integrated communication campaigns and insure the best luxury shopping experience.

1.) What was your very first job? What does it feels like to look back at it? 
My very first job as Executive at Ammirati Puris Lintas allowed me to discover the advertising world and its creativity.

2.) Please describe, in your own words, what your current job is and what work it entails.
I’m currently Communication Director at La Vallée Village (6 million guests per year). My job is to insure we recruit the right guests for the 110 boutiques and have them live a great experience in the Village. I  lead a team of experts in the world of communication  and work with them at different levels :  strategy, positioning, storytelling, targeted contents, with a multi-canal approach. It is a very rich and complete job that allows me to deal with a palette of talents and partners. 

3.) How did you discover that the creative world was right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? Which train of events did bring you to where you are today?
I have studied engineering and during my student years I had the opportunity to organize fashion shows for several engineering schools. I had to contact the fashion brands in order to convince them to participate. Then went to ESCP business school to learn about marketing.  Then I did a training period at Dior Make Up. It is where I found my passion for product/image/advertising.

4.) In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how and where do you usually find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant?
Everything I see from exhibitions, press clips, people in the street, internet and social media platforms. Everything around me is a source of inspiration, including my two teenagers.

5.) If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, especially for the creative work and innovation it required rather than its recognition or industry success, what would it be?
After 20 years of work experience, it is simply impossible for me to pick just one. I’ve been lucky enough to work with such beautiful brands as Lancôme, DIM,  Lancaster, fragrance brands like Davidoff, Lacoste, Rochas, Escada, Cavalli, Hugo Boss, (…) and learn from very talented artists, including directors and photographers. It’s a challenging experience every time and a constant pleasure to watch as creative ideas take life, even today at La Vallée Village where I go on supervising exciting 360• projects and meeting inspiring talents and partners.

6.) What social media artist/account are you most influenced by?
I cannot say that I am influenced by one social media artist/or account. The chance we have today with social media is to never stop discovering new talent and ways to express emotions.
