Patrick Remy is a photography critic, an independent publisher and artistic director. He has served as curator of numerous exhibitions on fashion photography, notably in Kobe and Melbourne, as well as the artistic director, between 2010 and 2014, of the Planche(s) Contact festival in Deauville. In 1999, he founded Patrick Remy Studio, specializing in consulting and iconographic research for luxury brands and advertising agencies. He also works with numerous publishing houses such as Steidl, Louis Vuitton, Prestel, Rizzoli New York and Taschen. To date he has published some thirty books, including monographs devoted to Hiromix, Steve Hiett, Massimo Vitali, Max Pam, Gerard Malanga, Jonas Mekas, Guido Mocafico, Bettina Rheims, Valérie Belin, Jeanloup Sieff or Daidō Moriyama. He is also the author of The Art of Fashion Photography (2014) and Desire: New Erotic Photography (2015), both published by Prestel. He lives and works in Paris.
