1) What was your very first job? First job was stock boy at a craft store called All The Makings (like Michael's) so I could get a discount on spray paint in the late 80s to fuel my graffiti habit.
2) Please describe, in your own words, what your job is and what work it entails.As Group Creative Director, I co-lead all projects for our internal agency at Dollar Shave Club from TV, OOH, Social and all Direct To Consumer communications globally.
3) How did you discover that the creative world was right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? Was there a train of events that brought you where you are today?Maybe a parent teacher conference where my 6th grade teacher Mrs. Mason told my mom, "all he does is draw graffiti in class everyday."
4) In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how do you find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant?People. Other people and what they have to say is what inspires me more than any one thing.
5) If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, more for the creative work and innovation rather than its recognition or industry "success," what would it be?Our brand. Our in-house success. And all the fun things we make. Very proud to work for a company that has the bravery to do the kind of entertaining work we do. It's been a rare success.
6) Which creative disciplines do you commission most, and are most interested in seeing more of and why? Which of these disciplines are you most interested in seeing at CONNECTIONS? (ie photo, film, production, social, experiential, vr, cgi, animation etc)
