Brian is a principal in Agency59, one of Canada’s most enduring independent ad agencies. (Founded in, yes, 1959.) Brian has worked at multinationals in Toronto, Los Angeles and Hong Kong, developing brand campaigns for a multitude of blue chip brands including American Express, Citibank, Toyota and the Canadian Tourism Commission.
He has judged awards shows around the world, and offered industry commentary on, among others, TVO, CBC’s Metro Morning, the National Post and The Globe and Mail. He contributes to Applied Arts and Communication Arts magazines, as well as humour and travel columns to The Globe and Mail, Canada’s national newspaper.
Brian has served as guest lector at the Rotman School of Business, McMaster University and Humber College. He is Chair of the Program Advisory Committee for Humber’s Advertising and Design programs and Chair of the Usherwood Award Selection Committee, which recognizes Canada’s leading creative talents for lifetime achievement.
