I am curently working full-time Associate Creative Director (Art) at Anomaly Los Angeles. Born in the south of France, since my childhood I am highly passionated by design, handmade and digital typography, youth trends and social platforms, photography, spacial design and arts. I really enjoy to contribute to a company for which I can use my creativity as an answer to client challenges. I have always pushed myself very hard to create work that is unique, explores mixed media, question the principles of design and connects people through narrative. While creative-minded and highly-motivated, I am also efficient, focussed on quality and execution. These traits have given me the opportunity to work in France, England, Germany, Asia and recently America with creatives from advertising, product designers, architects, film directors and art galleries. In roles including art director, designer, both artist and curator, over the past 12 years.

What was your very first job?

I worked as a screenprinter! 

Please describe, in your own words, what your job is and what work it entails.

My job is about telling stories with visuals and bringing humanity on top of the commercial value of goods and brands. I attach particular importance in the relatability of the work and its craft. 

How did you discover that the creative world was right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? Was there a train of events that brought you where you are today?

I used to be a graffiti writer. It allowed me to get travel sponsorship and meet people in the creative field that were much older than I was at the time (I was 16). Meeting those creatives encouraged me to become art director instead of solely relying on my painting skills to build a future. Since a child, I have always been interested in creative mediums, working in advertising just allowed me to expand that world even more and work with the best directors and collaborators. I am still painting on the side and run a lot of personal graphic design projects too. 

In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how do you find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant?

I am actually trying to live life at its most, traveling, learning new things, meeting interesting creatives, so it can nourish my story telling. I believe that if you haven't lived, you can't possibly have anything to say. Beside going to museums and watching instagram and the like, it's important to just be present and watch/listen/pay attention to the world in the widest spectrum possible/available.

If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, more for the creative work and innovation rather than its recognition or industry "success," what would it be?

Personal project: I donated a Black Lives Matter mural on Santa Monica boulevard, the lettering was as big as the wall and had much visibility. As the people walked by, nodding in approval, I have also been able to interact in interesting conversations and felt I did something good for the neighborhood.

Agency project: I have also done a johnnie walker campaign in which the bottle was half drank, the billboards are showing the bottle, that is all, no copy, the logo halfway out of the page, the bottle being the hero. I believe it was the first time they had shown their bottle being actually used. That story telling is what I am trying to hit on every single project i work on. 

Which creative disciplines do you commission most, and are most interested in seeing more of and why? Which of these disciplines are you most interested in seeing at CONNECTIONS? (ie photo, film, production, social, experiential, vr, cgi, animation etc)

Photo for it's singularity and the ability to move people while being static and film too for its ability to extend the narrative. I would say I love strong and minimal pieces that are feeling personal and human rather than CGI/tech. I am taking inspiration in literally everything and instead of being a spectator of the cultures I like, I am trying to be part of it.
