Caminantes, no hay camino, hay que caminar
Lorenzo Vitturi is an Italian photographer and sculptor, born in Venice in 1980 and now based in London. Formerly a cinema set painter, Vitturi brings this experience into his photography practice, with site-specific interventions composed by photography, sculpture and performance. In his work, photography is considered a space where different disciplines meet to represent the increasingly complex urban context.
His works have been exhibited at The Photographers’ Gallery in London, at the Yossi Milo Gallery in New York, at the Contact Gallery in Toronto and at CNA in Luxembourg. Lorenzo Vitturi has also participated in different collective exhibitions, at MAXXI in Rome, at Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, at La Triennale in Milan, at Museum of Art in Shangai. In 2016, after the collective exhibition Picture Perfect (Viasaterna, Milano), it has been held his first solo exhibition in Italy, Droste Effect, Debris and Other Problems, curated by Fantom.
