During spring 2017 The Box Films flew to Ivory Coast to shoot a special video for Barilla - Pan di Stelle, from a creative idea of the agency Armando Testa.
The campaign enhances the brand's commitment to a responsible and sustainable cocoa supply chain, which takes the form of investments to support those who, in Côte d'Ivoire, grow our cocoa raw material, their families and the entire community to which they they belong. The location where the campaign was shot is the small village of Djangobo, where cocoa farmers working for the brand live. Pan di Stelle, collaborating with Cocoa Horizons Foundation, built a well of drinkable water for the community of Djangobo.
In effect, the search for water in Africa is a burdensome task that mainly concerns women and girls. This is why the journey is told through the eyes of a six-year-old girl named Nyma. Nyma introduces us into her universe and tells us how each day she is forced to travel a long way to pick her up, thus making us part of her biggest dream: that of a water well in her village. So when Nyma recites the magic formula "I had a dream. It's all true! ", The oneiric and illustrated dimension of his story suddenly becomes real, and his desire becomes that of us all. Because sometimes the most beautiful things come true, you just have to dream about them a lot. The Djangobo well that Nyma stands in front of when she opens her eyes is just one of the interventions in favor of the cocoa farming communities that Pan di Stelle has activated in Ivory Coast together with the Cocoa Horizons Foundation.
