In 2011, after bachelor and master Management studies in Milan and Paris, Giulia joined VF International in Napapijri’s marketing department. After 7 years with the company, Giulia now leads Napapijri’s Brand Marketing team, delivering Brand strategy deployment and execution through integrated campaigns and events.


1. What was your very first job?

My very first job was in cultural exchange company. As a former high school exchange student, my task was to interview candidates and follow their application process.

What I loved about this job was being able to share my own experience and help motivate young kids who were about to embark in this amazing journey.

2. Please describe, in your own words, what your job is and what work it entails.

My job as a Senior Brand Marketing Manager is to put together Napapijri’s brand marketing strategy making sure it reflects the overall brand’s strategy and business objectives.

In particular, I look after content creation with Napapijri’s head of creative and then ensure such content comes alive at all brand’s touchpoints in a consistent way, aligning with our PR&Media, Wholesale, Creative&VM and Digital teams.

3. How did you discover that the creative world was right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? What was there train of events that brought you to where you are today?

I have been involved in the content creation process within Napapijri since I started working for the brand. As my role within the company expanded, I have realized that Brand strategy and activities are strictly linked with content creation. I now believe the creative world is not only about being creative, but also about being able to manage and amplify all the creative work to support the brand’s growth and business’ objectives.

4. In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how do you find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant?

I believe working with many creative people (both from the company as well as from the outsides) helps to find inspiration in the work I do. Also, Napapijri has been growing internationally not only in terms of business, but also in terms of people joining the brand from different countries and with different backgrounds. Diversity & Inclusion is one of the main values we, as a brand, try to always pursue and this ignites fresh, innovative and relevant work.

5. If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, more for the creative work and innovation it required, rather than its recognition or industry “success,” what would it be?

Napapijri’s approach in the past year has been focused on creating platforms to also support people that share our values. The work done with our Futurehood activation at Milan Design Week is probably what I am mostly proud of at the moment. Not only were we able to present a very innovative collection within a non-fashion context making it relevant for both designers and consumer, but we also used this moment to give visibility to young designers to interpret and feature their own interpretation of the what future meant to them.
