Highly accomplished consumer marketing expert with 20+ years experience including; Founder and Vice President of Experiential Marketing at BI WORLDWIDE, Sr. Event Manager for Clear Channel San Diego, and Corporate Director of Sponsorship for the Sprint PCS Grand Prix.  She has her MBA in Marketing from The University of St. Thomas School of Business.

 

She has had the pleasure of working with a roster of brands such as Delta, Verizon, Toyota, Target, Jeep, General Mills, Puma, GM, Reckitt Benckiser, Ford, Chiquita, US Bank, Rock The Vote and AT&T to name a few.

 

Her specialties include Marketing Strategy, Partnerships & Sponsorship Negotiations, Lifestyle Marketing, Pop-Up Retail, Mobile Marketing, Street Teams, Press Events/Stunts, Influencer Events, Music Tours and Festivals, Community Relations, Immersive Story Telling and Social + Digital Media Integration.

She loves spending time with her family, sweating in hot yoga burn classes, traveling and foodie experiences.

1.)     What was your very first job? 

Dairy Queen, for about 3 wks… until  the new brown polyester uniforms arrived, they were a deal breaker.  I did learn how to make the soft serve ice cream swirl before I left.

 

2.)     Please describe, in your own words, what your job is and what work it entails

I head up the Experiential Marketing Agency of BI WORLDWIDE, in other words, I have overall responsibility for Sales, Creative and Operations.  It’s amazing because no two days are the same.  We concept and execute fresh creative that resonates with target audiences in ways that are buzzworthy, change behavior and drive business results, every day.  

 

3.)     How did you discover that the creative world was right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? What was there train of events that brought you to where you are today? 

I went to a conference where the key note speaker was from a global sports marketing agency and she was describing her work day and I thought, that is the career for me.  I went back to school to pursue my MBA in Marketing and Sports and Entertainment Management after that. 

 

4.)     In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how do you find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant? 

Trade publications, conferences, Pinterest, Instagram, Events, Art Galleries, Photography and travel.  It’s amazing the ideas that come to me on vacation while immersing myself in another culture.

 

5.)     If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, more for the creative work and innovation it required, rather than its recognition or industry “success,” what would it be? 

That is a hard choice, our team has had the privilege of working with so many brands.  I would say one that stands out is the Ballot Bash concert, press event and afterparty we produced for Rock The Vote at the Conventions to stress the importance of voting to our youth.  It even ended up on Jeopardy as a question.  What was the name of the Rock The Vote Concert hosted at the Democratic National Convention?  Answer The Ballot Bash.

 

6.)     Which creative disciplines do you commission most, and are most interested in seeing more of and why? (ie photo, film, social, experiential, vr, etc).

Everything Experiential, always looking at mixed reality technologies, and ways to amplify pre, during and post event.
