The answers to the below questionnaire. It can be brief - one or two sentence answers:

1.) What was your very first job? My first job was working for my dad in his warehouse packaging and shipping automotive products. This was when I was first exposed to the automotive industry at a professional level.

 

2.) Please describe, in your own words, what your job is and what work it entails. Today I lead the Brand Marketing and Events team at Factory Motor Parts.  Our team is responsible for executing advertising and events & sponsorship efforts across our nationwide footprint. 

 

3.)     How did you discover that the creative world was right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? What was there train of events that brought you to where you are today?  I originally went to school to be a pediatrician. After the first year, I realized this wasn’t the career path for me, so I signed up for a Career Exploration class. Throughout the class, my strengths and passions aligned directly with marketing and I haven’t looked back since! 

 

4.)     In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how do you find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant?  In the automotive industry, keeping our work exciting is probably the hardest challenge. Partnering with new sponsorships and finding creative approaches to make our brand exciting is never ending. Brainstorming with our partners along with attending networking events provides a fresh perspective from people outside the industry.

 

5.)     If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, more for the creative work and innovation it required, rather than its recognition or industry “success,” what would it be?  

I led the creation of our brand inspired, creative environment at our headquarters that supports the daily interaction of team members and partners. It was the hardest, but most rewarding project in my career so far. We named it the Inspiration Center so people would come into this space for a meeting, an event, or to grab a coffee and leave feeling inspired.

 

6.)     Which creative disciplines do you commission most, and are most interested in seeing more of and why? (ie photo, film, social, experiential, vr, etc) Our team is most involved with large brand and event initiatives, which includes creative, advertising, sponsorships, tradeshows, and much more!
