This film is set up in a sci-fi apocalyptic world where robots need to be supplied with oil. Directed by Thierry Poiraud, it illustrates a hot pursuit between an army of rusty weak robots fed with random oil and our star RobotQuartz supplied with quartz oil. This film portrays research, development and technological advancement in the modern Total world. This unique and frivolous ad defends the energy sector by pushing the boundaries with a young and long lasting engine. Mathematics was highly involved throughout the pre-production process; creating concept arts and 3D look development. Robots and Zombies were imagined and designed from scratch internally and then animated into life. You can distinguish a varying cast of Zombie-bots characters; female & male, each having different characteristics emphasizing on their unique personalities. Mathematics was also very involved throughout the shooting process; advising the production team on the best ways to bring zombies into life. They recommended the use of real actors wearing tracking markers in order to help define camera movements and angles. They were later removed using empty background plates in which we introduced the animated robots.
