What was your very first job? What does it feel like to look back at it now?
It is now 6 years ago. I went to a 3 day shoot for Cillit Bang close to Amsterdam in a studio. At the first day on set I was overwhelmed by this big machine that was going on in front of my eyes and I loved it from the first second. Looking back now, this feeling hasn’t changed that much. Every shoot / film is different, and it teaches me more and more.
Please describe, in your own words, what your current job is and what work it entails?
Right now I’m working as a hybrid. I’m still taking care about the full productions / agency producing but last year we started our inhouse production at Havas Düsseldorf caledl Studio 6, so I started to produce smaller films and branded content together with our director by ourselves.
How did you discover that the creative world is right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? Which train of events did bring you to where you are today?
After school, I got an internship at Havas in 2011 as an account manager. I did it for a year and luckily, I could switched to the TV dept. for a few days. I wanted to produce music videos when I was younger and when I actually understood what a TV producer in an agency does, I realized that this is what I wanted to do.
In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how and where do you usually find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant?
Hard to say. As a producer every job is different and I learn new processes, ways, techniques, etc. with every new job.
If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, especially for the creative work and innovation it required rather than its recognition or industry success, what would it be?
If I have to pick one of them it would be our repicturing homeless campaign. What I really liked was that we do something that doesn’t actually sell something instead of telling a message.
