Jérôme Faillant-Dumas was born in Paris on February 2nd, 1957.
He was guided and influenced by the artistic sense of his great-grandfather and his mother, an archivist at the Louvre laboratory throughout his life. After finishing his studies in various art schools, he began to work in advertising agencies.
In 1980, he joined CHANEL, working with Jacques Helleu. There he acquired his sense of detail for products and advertising to build a coherent image for the CHANEL house.
In 1987, he joined YVES SAINT LAURENT as Artistic Director and managed the image of perfumes and cosmetics.
He worked under Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé of products, image, advertising films and merchandising. He also collaborated with Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Jean-Paul Goude and David Lynch on commercials including Jazz, Paris and Opium. Between 1997 and 2000 he continued his collaboration with Yves Saint Laurent couture.
In 2000 he decided to launch his own company, L.O.V.E. (Luxury, Object, Visual, Environment) in order to help prestigious companies (Guerlain, Chaumet, Dior, Nina Ricci) with his viewpoint and expertise of luxury. He is always on the lookout for new ideas. In 2002, he created a collection of high quality furniture and objects through L.O.V.E. EDITIONS. He also carries out private interior design projects (London, Paris). Finally, from 2003 to 2008 he worked for Bernard Arnault as an Artistic Consultant for CHRISTIAN DIOR perfumes. He participated in the revitalizing of all product lines, advertising, and points of sale. His expertise is recognized and he continues, with L.O.V.E., to help luxury houses internationally.
