With a rich production background, I understand the value of building internal teams that work together with roles and functions which compliment the process and center around the work.

I have built a 65+ in-house content creation team and pre-media print studio, which has been a differentiator to our Clients and our projects. 

With focused organizational centers of excellence in creative and operations, I work closely with agency executive leaders to ensure understanding of staff and scope from assignment to delivery. The end result, being a part of creating teams who produce some of the most successful award-winning campaigns for FCB CHI and our Clients.

As a leader, my foundation in staying relevant- always step in, step up, contribute and roll up your sleeves to lead, teach and own with integrity, hard work, passion and fun.


1.)     What was your very first job?  

Chiat Day Advertising.  I was a Production Coordinator responsible for working on launching Infiniti automobile line with Nissan.


2.)     Please describe, in your own words, what your job is and what work it entails.  

I am currently the Director of Still Production at FCB Chicago, leading an agency production team and head of Lord + Thomas Still Studio.  My job is making. Making ideas, partnering with creatives on making campaigns, and keeping the still space relevant, exciting and inspirational.


3.)     How did you discover that the creative world was right for you? 

Everything from cutting the grass to washing the car had to have a creative spin.  I looked at common tasks, products and design admiring or critiquing color palettes, composition and even messaging.  It probably originated from my father who was an immigrant to this county, landing his first job at RR Donnelley- producing litho plates. I remember him coming home with the wonderful smell of inks and bringing up amazing metal designs which resulted in magazine ads. Long conversations of how the process worked from idea to application.  Everything from colors to process excited me. 


Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? What was there train of events that brought you to where you are today? 

When I graduated Columbia, I answered a blind ad for a production coordinator. No company name.  No client roster.  When I walked in the door, I was instantly terrified… Chiat Day.  I still credit that agency for relentless creative mission, culture, ability to be the best entrepreneurial version of yourself.


4.)     In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how do you find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant? 

Keep yourself fresh.  Always reading, exploring and talking to people.  Never let the ‘big box’ firms dictate the ‘way to do something’ instead go to schools, local artists, makers to get you inspired.

5.)     If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, more for the creative work and innovation it required, rather than its recognition or industry “success,” what would it be?
