I am Lodewijk Varossieau, the CEO and Creative Director of SuperRebel®Group. We started as a creative agency in 2011. Since we started, we created several awesome design and advertising concepts for local and international brands. Outspoken, bold and stylish. But always highly effective. That is the standard of our work. Not only for the campaigns that we develop, but also for the brands that we build. 

Next to that, we created our own SuperRebel® fashion brand in 2016. I love to create powerful and desirable brands. And I love to motivate and inspire people. My main focus is to make SuperRebel® a leading creative agency in the Benelux and a desirable brand in the world. Therefore, our clients need to be very successful. No mercy. Nothing is impossible. We always try to reach the top. Creativity rules and is a solution for every challenge.

Before we started SuperRebel® I was the co-founder of advertising and digital agency The Communication Company and 76Interactive. Both companies were sold to the management and Forza Group respectively. Next to my job as SUPERREBEL chief I am involved as an investor at gr8 agency, BLOWFISH.digital, Little Bastards and some start-ups. I am proud of everything we did but I am most proud of the '#rememberthisname' campaign we created for Max Verstappen when he started his racecareer in F3.

What was your very first job? What does it feel like to look back at it now? 
I was a trainee at several international agencies and after that I got the chance to start-up my own advertising agency The Communication Company which still exists and is successful. So I was entrepeneur at the age of 21 and I do not regret it although I would also have loved an international career. This is why it is our ambition to join an international media group and to become a strong international agency brand one day. 

Please describe, in your own words, what your current job is and what work it entails.
As CEO and Creative Director it is my job to inspire people to make great creative work and to convince clients to make choices. Besides that i am responsible for the creative level of our work and our own brand. 

How did you discover that the creative world is right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? Which train of events did bring you to where you are today?
I am sure that I was born to create. My father was creative director of BBDO and Saatchi. I love to create all day. That makes me happy. 

In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how and where do you usually find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant?
Travelling inspires me. I never look at others work to be inspired. But other things. 

If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, especially for the creative work and innovation it required rather than its recognition or industry success, what would it be?
We created a campaign for F1 driver Max Verstappen when he started in F3. The campaign #rememberthisname did not last long because he rocketed into F1. But I still think it was very smart, creative and relevant.
