What was your very first job? What does it feel like to look back at it now?
One of my first jobs was a night shift in a distribution centre for the Royal Dutch mail. Fascinating job, handling mail and packages from all over the world. Visually intriguing to see al the package designs. In my mind i was imagining all the stories from far away behind these items. Back then the world was not so connected as it is now. Makes me realize how much smaller the world has become in such a small time.

Please describe, in your own words, what your current job is and what work it entails.
Currently I am managing the Uber EMEA internal creative team. With Uber we just did a global rebrand, which was super exciting and is a huge undertaking. Our focus now is to ensure this brand vision and identity work is effective on all touch points across all the EMEA cultures and markets.

How did you discover that the creative world is right for you? Was there a time in your life that you credit to this discovery? Which train of events did bring you to where you are today?
I love exploring. Exploration of thoughts, possibilities, challenges and solutions is something I have been doing from my early days. Pursuing a creative career was already at a young age the only logical career path. Exploring is what kept me hungry and pushed me to do different things trough-out my career. I guess it is the driving force behind it all.

In your constantly growing and expanding industry, how and where do you usually find inspiration to keep your work fresh, innovative and relevant?
Surround yourself with people who have positive energy and challenge you in a good way. They will inspire and help you develop as a person.

If you had to pick one piece of work or project that you are most proud of, especially for the creative work and innovation it required rather than its recognition or industry success, what would it be?
Creating the Digital showroom for Tommy Hilfiger (PVH). This project revolutionized the marketing experience for retailers. The interactive concept blends collection information, marketing tools and brand content in one seamless touchscreen experience. A game changer that established a new fashion industry benchmark.
